FAQs

What is the ROI?
You’re going to make a sizeable investment in your news service. You want to ensure you’re getting good value for money. There are many benefits associated with a news service, some of which can be measured, others that can’t. We can measure the increased traffic to your website, the top stories read and the number of people signing up for ENews service. You can measure staff turnover, the number of new recruits and staff satisfaction through internal surveys or perhaps productivity.

It harder to place a value on enhanced communication, increased trust and transparency, improved culture, motivated and engaged staff or enhanced sense of belonging. What about increased brand recognition, awareness of CSR and environmental improvements and the alignment and understanding of your mission, vision and values.

Your ROI is knowing that engaged, valued and respected employees produce superior results. It’s knowing your staff are feeling more valued, committed and engaged. It’s knowing that new recruits are attracted to your company because you embrace your people. It’s knowing that your employees, customers and community have a better appreciation for your community contributions and environmental initiatives. It’s knowing your brand will be augmented and your organizational image enhanced because your broader audience knows more about your people, your practice and your innovation.

All of this because you have a news program that brings out the best in your organization every day.

In some cases you will already have ways to evaluate the areas your news program can have an impact on. Where that is the case we will work with you to tie our coverage with your goals and metrics.

How involved do we have to be?
The Axiom News experience is designed to maximize a benefit to you, with very little effort and involvement on your part. We have the writers, production editors, graphic design and platform services to optimize your news experience.

Your involvement includes a quarterly meeting with your executive suite to review our progress to date and the areas to be focused on in the upcoming quarter. As well, your leaders and managers will have to point us to your people or the projects that are making a difference.

Other than that, we put our professionals and expertise to work for you. We follow up with your employees, conduct the interviews, bring out their strengths, write their stories and post them to your website, all without edit or oversight from you. It’s that smooth.

What if we have a need to review and edit the news?
When we first start your news program you will want to see our work and influence the stories before being posted. This is an important step for both of us — we’ll get a real sense of what is important to you, the terminology you use, the tone you like and some of the sensitivities you have around language or confidentialities — you’ll get to see the quality, depth and professionalism of our work.

After a trial of 6 to 8 stories, once a comfort level has been established, we will go live and our journalists are entrusted with the responsibility to fairly and professionally write and post the stories told from your people, without edit.

We are dedicated to amplifying the best in your people and your organization.

Why hide your news?
You shouldn’t. We recommend that your stories be posted on the front page of your website, not hidden in some obscure place that’s hard to navigate. Your front page is where you get the most traffic. Be proud! Celebrate your people, your initiatives, your products and accomplishments.

We want everyone to know you are a dynamic, progressive organization that believes in your people, embraces the human spirit and thrives on progress. Keep your most dynamic information at the front of your website and the standing material on the back pages.

Your audience is more likely to return to your website knowing it is ever-changing.

Why Axiom vs. Internal Writer?
Wondering about bringing someone in-house? Comparing and contrasting options is always a great way to sort out what is best for you.

Like your business, anyone on the outside may think that is simple to do what you do. You know that your internal processes, the skills and abilities required to deliver your service are far more comprehensive and complex than may be perceived.

Axiom has been experimenting, trialling and fine tuning its news strategies for over 15 years. We have a full newsroom including journalists, production editors and graphic designers to ensure professional and timely news development and delivery. Our team benefits from the cohesive practice of Generative Journalism, designed to bring out the strengths in your organization.

When going into the depths of your organization and engaging your front line we also bring third party credibility.

We are a dedicated news service. We are not distracted with other priorities within your organization. While you may have other pressures, you can count on us to engage your people, keep your news current and continue to celebrate the good work you do.

Once our clients experience our service they quickly recognize the added-value we bring to their organization.

We’ll never have enough material for one story every day!
It’s remarkable how common this response is! What could you possibly talk about every day?

To start, you’re probably not used to celebrating or acknowledging people every day. You also know that people want to be recognized, but you haven’t had time to do it. Think of the number of departments, divisions, projects or strategic objectives in your company. They’re all filled with people working hard, making a meaningful contribution, trying to advance your organization. There are people stepping up, others collaborating or finding new solutions to outstanding challenges. There are those that emulate your values, others that represent excellence in customer service and those working on new ideas.

What if you wanted to draw attention to your values, operational excellence, recruitment, building your culture, or highlighting your community initiatives?

There are a great many things going on in your organization at any given time. Partner with us to bring them to light, every day.
