BLJC launches Axiom news program to feature great people, work of the organization
Axiom News welcomes national leader in workplace management services

Brookfield LePage Johnson Controls (BLJC) has contracted Axiom News to publish a daily news program which will shine a spotlight on the exemplary people and work of the organization.

A national leader in workplace management services, BLJC employs about 1,500  professionals.

According to president Gordon Hicks, the organization has numerous exciting stories to share.

“We want to uncover the great things that are happening within BLJC that our members are doing,” says Hicks.

“Good things are happening and no one is talking about them.”

Hicks says the vision for the news program, launched Dec. 7, is to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction in the workplace.

“We genuinely want people to . . . feel good about coming into work,” he says.

Ron Shory, BLJC national director, human resources, says he sees the news program as a significant way to recognize employees

“I see Axiom News fitting perfectly in there as not only a vehicle for improving the communication both internally and externally in the organization, but equally if not more important a form of recognition,” he says. “I mean, who doesn’t like to see their name in print?”

Shory says he also foresees the program serving as a recruitment and retention tool.

In addition to highlighting exemplary employees, the news program will shine a light on the wide range of corporate social responsibility and environmental stewardship activities that BLJC heads up, with the goal of boosting involvement in those activities.

A broader vision for the program is to engage and lead the industry as a whole, including current and prospective customers, to also have a positive impact on their local communities and the environment.

“Hopefully we can create a ripple effect throughout our communities,” says Hicks.

Axiom News CEO Fraser Wilson concurs that Axiom can play a significant role in enhancing an organization’s communication, providing content on their website, bringing the strengths of their people to light and moving the needle on employee engagement — “all of this by bringing a voice to what’s already happening in their company.”

“We’re excited about bringing out the best in BLJC’s people and their organization by writing stories and posting them on their internal website, every workday,” says Wilson.

“Through heightening the awareness and appreciation of the great people, initiatives and projects within BLJC everyday, Axiom can elevate their culture and increase the operational excellence throughout the organization.”

In addition to the daily news program, which includes a fresh news article posted every workday, Axiom will publish a BLJC electronic newsletter (e-news) every two weeks and a print piece every quarter.
